Best Family Friendly Hotels in America

Traveling with kids can be a challenge. Choosing the right family-friendly hotel can make your family vacation the fun, memorable experience you’re dreaming of. The best kid-friendly hotels in the US offer flexible room options, great amenities, and activities for the whole family.
Here are the 7 best family friendly hotels in America:

1    The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain in Marana, AZ

The rooms and suites at this hotel have views of the grounds, pool, and even the nearby canyons, so children will have something to look at when they wake up in the early hours of the morning. The Turquesa Latin Grill is next to the pool and their menu is suitable for every family member. The Aventura pool was designed with families in mind and is complete with a splash pad and 235-foot waterslide. The best feature of the hotel though is that children can choose to camp in their room inside a tent instead of just sleeping on a rollaway bed. The Ritz Kidz program is also fantastic with different programs held every day of the week.

2    Disney’s Yacht Club Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL

This Disney World resort hotel has a nautical theme complete with a lake just steps away from a guest’s door. Families can spend their days at Stormalong Bay, which has a sandy bottom swimming pool, two waterslides, and a lazy river, or they can play mini golf and rent a boat and venture out onto Crescent Lake. Of course, children will want to hop on the ferry for the short ride to either Epcot or Hollywood Studios, too.

3    St. Regis Monarch Beach in Dana Point, CA

There are activities at this hotel for every age group and while parents are at the spa, children can participate in meditation and yoga classes with other people their age. Families can also choose to go on a whale watching cruise, explore the tide pools at the resort’s private beach, paddleboard, hike a trail, or go on an outing with a Surf Butler. The San Juan Capistrano Mission and the Ocean Institute are not too far away either.

Families that love adventure will want to stay at Montage Deer Valley, because they can hit the slopes, hike the trails, go fly fishing, and take a photography class. The bowling alley and arcade games will fill more than one afternoon and no one will want to miss the nightly s’mores around the fire pit.

5    Grand Hotel, Mackinac Island on Mackinac Island, MI

This hotel opened in 1887 and while it has long been a summer retreat filled with lawn games, dancing, and promenades around the long front porch, families now have other options. Nowadays, children and their parents can play a fascinating game of Quidditch before going duck pin bowling and visiting the butterfly house. Evenings will be complete with movies or hours of fun swimming in the serpentine shaped pool.

6    The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort on Kiawah Island, SC

Families can spend time together and apart at this hotel, which is twenty-one miles from Charleston. This golfer’s paradise will have the whole family out on the greens as they try to get a hole in one at any of the ninety holes. After a round or two, they can all go surfing, paddling, hiking, fly fishing, or try to hit the bullseye in archery. When parents need a little time for themselves, the children can head off to Kamp Kiawah at Night Heron Park where they will tie dye shirts, build sandcastles, participate in crab races, and go on a pirate treasure hunt.

7    Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge in Lake Buena Vista, FL

This is an amazing hotel, however, guests may not get enough sleep, because they will be too busy watching the animals that live in the 43-acre wildlife preserve from their private balcony. The pool has an amazing waterslide that people can rush down and after spending hours there, families can wander over to the water playground complete with a rope bridge and water cannons. In the evening, parents can enjoy a quiet meal while their kids have fun at Simba’s Playhouse.

For me no 3 St. Regis Monarch Beach in Dana Point, CA looks really cool. But i would image for kids
the most interesting place would be no 7. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge in Lake Buena Vista, FL. I’ve seen an ad where giraffe sticks here head into the hotel room. That was so sweet 🙂 at the same time scary in case you’re still half asleep. hehe
