If you were a billionaire, what would you do? Well, if you’re anything like most of the rich and famous, you’d buy yourself a killer luxury private jet. While most business moguls and celebrities settle for standard private jets, some people have truly gone above and beyond to create the plane of their dreams. From Jackie Chan to Donald Trump, here are the people and the planes that are rocking the private luxury jet industry. What would it be like to fly in style? Check out some of these amazing private jets and see for yourself!
This jet takes the term “sky view” to a whole new level! The jet is tricked out with all the usual private jet luxuries, but it boasts one thing that no other jet does: a pseudo-skylight. This “skylight” is actually a screen that goes along the length of the plane. The screen displays a real-time image of the sky above, making the whole plane feel airier and more open. Of course, you can put other things on the screen as well, including maps. We’re hoping it also shows Blu-Ray movies. If you want this jet, be prepared to dish out a cool $100 million or more.
Embraer Legacy 650
Jackie Chan’s personal private jet looks cool from the outside, which features red and yellow Asian-inspired art as well as Chan’s logo. But the real jaw-dropping factor of this jet is found inside the aircraft. Forget cramming into coach – this jet has only one row of seats on each side, meaning that the lucky passengers have both a window and an aisle seat. The seats recline to create a comfortable napping spot. They also slide back and forth to make way for a table, and each person gets a tablet. Chan paid $20 million dollars for this awesome private plane.
The Flying Hotel
The Boeing Business Jet 2 may be business in the front, but it’s a party in the back. We’re not kidding! This plane not only has a thousand square feet of leg room, but it also includes a lounge and a bedroom suite. Sign us up for a day on the job in that plane! We’ll take it.
Joseph Lau’s Boeing 747
Wait, isn’t a 747 a huge passenger jet? Why, yes it is. At least most of them are. However, the 747 owned by real estate investor Joseph Lau is outfitted to be a private jet! Lau paid $150 million to redesign his plane’s inside so that it would have the look and feel of a huge luxury jet. The fuel price must be monstrous, but a private 747 has its advantages, including recreational areas, personal suites, a private office, and endless luxurious features.
Donald Trump’s Boeing 757
Leave it to Donald Trump to have a private jet that can fit almost 300 passengers! We’re not sure if the president still owns this plane, but we’re guessing that he does – it actually seems a lot more awesome than Air Force One. The plane was originally built in 1968, but it was seriously upgraded after Trump purchased it for $100 million. The plane now rocks fine art, gold-plated seat buckles, a movie system, and real crystal. Forget being invited to the White House – it would be way cooler to take a ride on that thing!
This is a popular jet with many of the rich and famous. This jet is just large enough to fly intercontinentally, and it is the tallest and widest business jet out there. If you have $80 million to burn, this jet is a great plane to own! You can choose whether you want a cinema lounge, social area, or conference room in addition to the standard bedroom suite.
Bombardier Global 8000
This plane can fly very fast for a very long distance. If the private jet of your dreams is both classy and earth-friendly, this is the plane for you! It has some of the lowest emissions for a plane of its type, burns the least amount of fuel possible for its size, and offers every luxury you could dream up. Enjoy the three comfortable living areas, dine well at your seat, or kick back and relax with a good movie. For $66 million, it’s yours!
Airbus A380 that’s fit for a prince
If you thought Donald Trump was the only important political figure with an over-the-top luxury private jet, think again! Saudi Prince Alawaleed bin Talal actually more than triples the U.S. president’s private jet cost. He bought his plane for $300 million and spend another $200 million on refurbishments. This plane just may take the prize for the world’s most amazing private jet! The interior looks like the fabled city of El Dorado – everything is gold! Of course, most of it is just gold-colored paint or carpet, but some of the metalwork is real gold. What else would you expect from a Saudi prince? The plane also includes spa treatments, steam rooms, gigantic TVs, elevators, and bathrooms that look like something out of a luxury hotel suite. The prince even has his own personal chair that looks like a throne! This sumptuous private jet is basically a flying palace.
Who wouldn’t want to own a jet like that? If you want the title to one of these, you’ll have to be a multi-millionaire, or just make friends with a wealthy celebrity. Most of us will never get a chance to even step foot inside planes like these, but who knows? Maybe someday you’ll get your big break and have the chance to purchase one for yourself! In any case, it never hurts to dream.
